Dead battery in VFX

Dead battery in VFX

2000-10-20 by Kjetil Naess

My VFX 's internal battery has died, and it's kind of annoying dumping all
presets and sounds from my PC anytime I want to fiddle around with it.
Anyone got info on what kind of battery to replace the dead one with - I'm
not afraid of soldering irons. Thanx in advanc.

Hello, i had a same trouble recently with my SD-1, i fixed it fine.
Come by tommorow, there will be the answer. (I don't have the battery
No. with me at this moment.)By the way, forget about soldering, we're
talkin' lithium battery here, so soldering = boom in the face. It
must
be punctuated. Khan.

Like i've said,
Here is second part of answer:
Batery is Panasonic br -2/3A 3v Lithium.
Dont forget! No soldering directly to batery! You have to make 'legs'
for it, punctuate them to the batery, and then soldier them to the
Ensoniq MB. Regards, Khan.

Thanx guys, I'll give it a try. Wanted to install a battery holder, as I
know that I should not solder directly to such batteries.
