EMXP and creating our own sample collection.

Members...I have just loaded up EMXP and Omni flop to the group's files section. I have used this software and it works great for reading and writing Elll discs. One of the things that no other Elll group has is a sample disc lib, so let's start one here.

I have a folder for factory disc images and a folder for personal home made samples, please share if you have them. I have uploaded the entire original Emu factory floppy disc library to the files section in two images, stand 1.EZ3 and stand 2.EZ3. You will need EMXP and Omni flop working to read these files.

Additional info: The EIII sample library started development in the spring of 1988. These sample banks were initially released as packs of 4 - 6 diskettes in a special soft plastic box. They retailed at $70 - 95, and were 4MB in size. The samples were developed under the leadership of Kevin Monahan at E-mu Systems.

By 1989 there were 54 banks of either 4 or 8MB, available on diskette or RM45 cartridges. The diskette library was gradually phased out in the early 1990's, and replaced by more cost effective sample CDROM 's - as SCSI CDROM drives became affordable.
