Thanks for the feedback. I never got the impression that Doug was a
gouger. I've always had good experiences with him. I just want to
make sure I make the right decision.

Kindest regards,
John

Wouldn't that violate Doepfer's territory agreement with its U.S.
dealer? I don't think you can even buy from the Canadian dealer.

There are probably factors that would explain the apparent price
difference to your satisfaction. My pretty strong impression is that
Doug's no gouger.

I have no idea about the prices in the Us, but perhaps there is a illegal
warmongery tax that you pay over there ;) Just Kiddin'. Well I don't think
you can buy from Doepfer directly sinces there is a us sales rep, but you
can buy from Touched by sound in germany. I have done so a few time and
their prices are way lower that they are in Sweden. But I have also bought
stuff in Sweden for the good measure...

I know you're kidding, but I don't mind going on record that I am
completely against war and acts of aggression. But I'll safely
withdraw from discussing the issue further just to protect this
thread from going dangerously off topic.

Certainly a good point. In theory, I could easily buy a few more
modules with the $600 I could save. But we'll see. I've got a few
more days before I make the purchase. I'm still getting over the
fact that I filled up two rows of modules faster than I though I
would. So I'm already ready to upgrade and I haven't even gotten the
first set of modules yet! :-)

Kindest regards,
John

John, it already IS off topic. I mean, I know I'm the wet blanket
here, but isn't this group supposed to be about Doepfer, and NOT
politics?

I don't come here with an attitude, and insult anothers politics or
country, nor do I wish to be insulted by anothers comments about my
country... or any country for that matter.

And for the record, I've lived in Europe (UK, Sweden, Rep. of
Ireland, France) and America for just about an equal number of
years. I suggest that everyone look at their own problems (and there
are a LOT of problems and immoral actions in Europe as well as the
US) before passing comment.

I'll leave it with one question: If your government decides to put
military personnel into the conflict, and although you may disagree
with your government, will you support said military personnel?

Regards,
Kevin
