Doepfer TBK touch keyboard?

Doepfer TBK touch keyboard?

2016-04-07 by marco.heimburger@yahoo.com

I've been wondering about this for a while, but what ever happend to the plans
about that touch keyboard? Will it ever be made or is it an abandon project?

I honestly think that now is the time for a doepfer touch keyboard,
but then i must add, i am one of thoose who prefer doepfer more
than other brands. And we can't always get what we want :)
But it's always free to ask a question

/Marco

I am also curious about the Touch Keyboard. I was very excited by the version where the temperament of each key could be adjusted. I would definitely buy one of those - well probably two of them!!

Im unsure of the process of how we comment / encourage / suggest what we like / don't like to Doepfer other than by writing in this forum.

Actually the touch keyboard electronics is ready since a few years. But we put the TKB on ice as we did not see any consensus
regarding the key shapes (like a "normal keyboard" or just squares or octagons or circles or ... , which size of the keys/areas,
with/without Midi in addition to CV/Gate and some more). Maybe we will release it some day with my personal favourite of shape, size
and interface as I do not want to start the discussion again.

Best wishes

Re: Doepfer TBK touch keyboard?

Hello,

I would like to express great interest in a touchplate module.

In my opinion 12 square touchplates in about 20HP would be a very good compromise. Not too much like a traditional keyboard (which I don't think Dieter should do!), but giving the opportunity to transpose your sequences (or other aspects) in a very direct way in a really small space. Something clean and simple, without many options would be ideal.

Thanks!

Vytis
