A-180-3: Current

A-180-3: Current

2015-12-09 by Wolfram Henke

Dear all,
what is the Current of the A-180-3? There is obviously no concrete specification on Doepfer’s Homepage L
I guess it could be something around 30 mA (+12 V), correct?

Hi there,

I guess so but I didn't measure my 180's.
The buffered multiple from Intellijel, which does the same , Is having specs like:
4ma @ +12V
17ma @ -12V

Cheers

The current consumption of the A-180-3 is +20mA / -20mA.

Note: In the future we will specify the currents for +12V and -12V separately for each module. The reason is, that each A-100 module
takes the same or less current at -12V compared to +12V (about 40% less on average). The new power supply A-100PSU3 outputs 2A@+12V
and 1.2A@-12V and one has to pay attention that the sums of the currents at +12V and -12V does not exceed these values. But normally
that's true for A-100 modules even if only the currents at +12V are summed up. In addition the A-100PSU3 has +5V with 4A available.
These are not required for A-100 modules but for some modules from other manufacturers.

Best wishes
