Hi, here's one that I was using last night. Want some overdrive? go from
your vca to the external input follower (if you have one) and then to your
other processes. You can overdrive the ext. input really easily and control
the amt with the attenuation.

I got a really good buzzy bell with the old standby of 2 similar sine waves
and a ring mod. but that's nothing new really.

How about you? What have some of your fav's been?

I find that alot of my better programming has come when I am having an
"intermediate" or "beginner" moment and just start plugging things in. When
I think I know what I'm doing I get bored with the results very quickly.
(if I'm experimenting).

Ben

Good observation, Ben, its true by me also. There might be some sort
of cognitive theory of creativity to explain this, but more likely
its because when you go back to "beginner" mode you usually start with
the VCOs. That's a very deep well there of sounds to draw upon.

I find VCAs really useful for animating a patch. Every time I'm
adjusting an attenuator knob, I try to think about what it would sound
like to insert a VCA there in the patch, controlling the modulation
intensity from some other source like an LFO or midi or something.

Recently I've been playing with a sort of "anti-subtractive" patch,
using distortion to add overtones instead of using a filter to
subtract overtones.

I've also been trying a VCA to control Audio Divider volume. Sort of
like high pass filtering, only different.

bakis turned me on recently to using the A155 at audio frequencies.
Very, very cool, especially if you patch a varying CV into one or more
of the external input jacks.

I don't have the triple resonance filter, but parallel low pass
filters to get multiple resonances sounds good.

So yeah Coleman, you should have started the ball rolling by giving us
some of your ideas.
