MCV-24 slew rate

MCV-24 slew rate

2012-11-06 by Zoë Blade

Hi everyone!

So naturally, one of the things I'm using the wonderful MCV-24 for is to play acidlines. This involves having slide (ie portamento) on some notes but not others, so either toggling the slew on and off or changing the slew rate. I've taken the SIX4ONE preset and tweaked it so that the MIDI controller "Portamento Time (coarse)" controls the slew rate, which is really neat... the only issue being that even at 0, there's still a slight bit of slew which makes the very beginning of high notes sound a bit glitchy.

Has anyone else tried this and had more luck? Is there a way to toggle over MIDI whether slew is applied at all, for instance?

This is how far I've got: http://soundcloud.com/doggiedogster/acid-test-mcv-24

Any suggestions or ideas would be appreciated. :)

Thanks,
Zoë.
