How can I power a wall wart/power supply from a Doepfer A-100G3?

How can I power a wall wart/power supply from a Doepfer A-100G3?

So I have an A-100G3 subrack inside a 6u road case and I want to add another 3u of modules. I'm either going to make my own setup or possible get a Tiptop Happy Ending kit. The Tiptop setup has a 110v wallwart to plug into the wall, which I hate. Is there any way to tap power directly from the Doepfer A-100G3 busboard/power supply?

Ok forget that idea. I just learned that the Doepfer G3 sub-rack has connectors
for up to 3 busboards so an extra subrack can be powered directly from the one I already have. I have no idea, however, how to connect it. Can someone tell me how to do it, and what Doepfer busboard to get to equip another 3u of modules? Thank you.

The A-100PSU2 has sufficient power for 2-3 bus boards (depending on the
total current of all modules connected to the PSU2 which has 1200 mA
available).
You may order additional A-100 bus boards as spare parts and connect them
with the enclosed cables to the PSU of the A-100G3. Details are available on
our website:

board and the bus boards

I'd strictly advise against carrying out this modification yourself if you
are not familiar with electronics. In this case please consult an expert.

Hi Matthew,

I am planning to do the same. I am going to add a female four pin XLR
chassis connector to the case that has the power supply.
Wire the connectors from the power supply to that. And add a four pin male
XLR chassis connector to the receiving case.
Add a bus board in the receiving case and wire that to the male chassis XLR
connector. Finally connect the two cases with a 4 pin xlr male to female
connector.

I choose 4 pin xlr because those are rarely used in the circuit of live
playing and music studios (1.actually mainly used in theaters for
controller voltages in lighting rigs for shutter and scrollers and 2. in
radio studios for the fader control system).
Second of all if you wire it like this there is no voltage you can touch or
short circuit in the everyday use of this system (given that you of course
have wired everything correctly on the inside!).

greetings,

Ernst
