how much more $$$ would it be? i think that both of these features
are necessary to make it unique. there is presently only one other
filter that morphs the various filter types out there. it is called
the Omni Filter from the Wiard Synthesizer Company. here is the url.

http://www.wiard.com/modular/the_filter/the_filter.html

a friend of mine had an original 6 module system. i put the system
through its paces. i was very pleased and enamored by the sound of
the filter and it's morphing feature. i can't even begin to imagine
the possibility of morphing through 20 to 25 filter types and having
a memory to be able to sequence them by voltage control.

having the filter without these options is good. having the filter
with those options would really set apart from the rest of all the
different filters out there, except the Buchla 292 Quad LoPass gate.:)

i think the extra cost is definitely worth it.

hi bakis,
thanks for all the leg work, i will create the poll this evening. it
will be short and sweet.:) sorry about the last big poll, but we were
dealing with a very rich feature set. it's better to poll and dicuss
ideas then scream after the fact why features weren't included. i am
very pleased to see that this filter will be manufactured. Kudos to
you and mr. Doepfer for bringing it to reality.

regards,
RM

hi Bakis, my apologies for a poorly worded sentence. what i meant
was, thanks for your enthusiam and the communications( situation
reports, new info releases .etc) you have with the Doepfer Company
with regards to the group.

i understand the process for developing hardware and software, it
always involves more than one person.

i wrote that sentence quickly because of the excitement of the filter
coming to production.

once again, thanks to everyone involved in the realization this new
filter.

regards,
RM

hello ringmod,
thanks about your work for the new poll!!!
one thing to point out, though:this new filer will be

and one more member of the doepfer team(i don't recall
now...).i have done nothing for this new filter to be
produced.

the super filter!

2002-10-19 by jmaddocks1975

Hi all,
Just a quick message really.
I hope that Doepfer really see the protential in this filter and
make it something truly awesome. Hope they don't worry about cost
too much and focus on making it unique and sought after, this filter
could sell like mad. They should get the design coyrighted so that
other companies don't copy it (a bit like what happened with the EMS
filter and AS). THIS COULD BE A TRUE CLASSIC!!
