well, you certainly should be able to use a quantizer to modify the output 
c.v. to a normal scale. my interest in the "interval fingers" was partially 
based on giving the controller a more authentic, "retro" feel and also on the 
fact that it would ease finding where the correct spot(s) on the ribbon for 
selected notes are.  as normal scale use isn`t what i have in mind for this 
unit, exact intervals aren`t a primary concern for me ( i mostly do noise / 
algorithmic / process automated / random  stuff ). i do plan, however, on 
using the unit as my primary manual controller for my modular ( along with 
sequencers, joysticks and theremin controllers ). have never been a big midi 
fan..........
