Hi Rene,

I have no idea if these are the proper switches indeed,
but I can tell you the Miyama switches (and most likely
the other one too) are not exactly prime examples of
decent quality.

Good switches are expensive.

Try C&K, NKK, or Mountain.

a-155

2010-08-02 by Rene Verdult

hello group,

I have just filled my first 9U rack (and very very happy with it!!) but my
latest addition is giving me some problems. When i received the A-155 together
with my A-154 expander I noticed the toggle switch that selects the range (1v /
2v / 4v) was a little 'wonky' like it had sustained a little damage. Now when I
switch to 4v from any of the other ranges it doesn't switch to 4v, but toggeling
back and forth sometimes helps, sometimes not. Also sometimes just slightly
touching the toggle switch will make the pitch 'wander'.

As i am ordering parts for a DIY project soon, I thought about getting a
different toggle switch for it, but i am not sure if that is wise. Should I just
send it back to Schneiders (it's only a few weeks old)? Can someone confirm
either one of these would work if I did it myself?

You need a toggle switch on-off-on (or 1-0-1), i.e. a 3-position switch with
center position. The hole in the front panel is 6 mm. It seems that both
switches are suitable but look a bit different (different levers). If the
module is new you should agree the procedure with Schneiders Buero to avoid
the loss off warranty.

Best wishes
