My Flakey A110

My Flakey A110

2010-02-27 by stevebdar

Related to an earlier post I had created regarding my A110. This module seems to be "flakey."

I have it connected correctly red stripe down at both ends. When I turn on my case, it does not produce any sound. I thought maybe it had to warm up or something.

I have the sine output going directly to an A130 audio in and then directly to a linear A138 audio in. No sound comes out.

But if I take the ribbon cable off the module (several times), eventually it begins to work. I thought the ribbon connector was bad, so I tried another one and same thing occurs.

This is a drag because I would like to have the module mounted in the rack and I also don't want to "short out" the case.

Any advice?

Thanks

From your last remark their it sounds as if you may have powered the A-110 up with one end of the power ribbon reversed (?). If this is the case then I'm afraid you are going to have to get it repaired by someone who knows what they are doing, preferably the Doepfer agent in your country - unfortunately this sort of thing is a fairly common occurrence!
