AW: [Doepfer_a100] mod for A-149-1 Quantized/Stored Random Voltages?

2019-01-29 by yahoo@doepfer.de

The A-149-1 generates quantized/stored random voltages similar to the Buchla module (i.e. the voltage changes at each rising edge of the incoming clock signal). If you want to obtain triggers you may use a voltage controlled switch (e.g. A-150) that follows the A-149-1 output in

A-198 Trautonium / ribbon controller - output voltages

2019-01-04 by man.of.mystery@ntlworld.com

I've ordered the A-198 Trautonium manual / ribbon controller, and will hopefully get it early next week. I looked in the manual, and on the main web page, expecting to see what the output voltage ranges are for the two CV and two Gate outputs - but I don't see any mention of them

Dieter thank you very much for your answer! No, the outputs you mentioned are +5V. I suppose that changing the level to +12V are not going to damage the other modules, mostly Doepfer. At first I will offset the signal of the clock output of Dark Time and I will report here! Best

Hello, please make sure that the output level of the Gate/Clock/Reset/Start/Stop outputs is set to +12V (not +5V). And make sure that the frequency of the A-147-2 is not too low. The frequency of the A-147-2 should be not much less than the clock signal coming from the Dark Time.

My first thought was a whining DC-DC converter, but I think they are linear power supplies, so probably not. Also, I thought you meant signal noise. I guess it could be a buzzing transformer, but I wasn't aware that could give a high pitched sound. I don't know if this helps, but
