Hi Bret, > Could one of you synth gurus explain what the new Blacet Research > module does? Thanks a ton! http://www.blacet.com/ It's not exactly very clear by the description, is it? My guess is that it is rather like the A-115, only intended for clock/CV signals rather than audio. Basically take in a clock signal (or use the internal one), and divide this down by the various amounts, 2, 4,...,64. Then you can add them back up, but at different amplitudes, and you can also invert the divided signal too. The end result will be a complex 'stepped' signal, depending on the relative sizes of all the components contributing to the whole. Feed this into a quantiser and thence VCO and you get pretty weird note sequences I guess. Not sure about the 'lag' function though. You should be able to get something similar by adding various amounts of the A-160 outputs using a mixer, and possibly an inverter or two. The A-115 could possibly be made to do something similar, but would require making it output much lower frequency signals by removing a capacitor - I shall have a look at both! Tim
