Re: [Doepfer_a100] Create shuffled rhythms within A-100

2014-11-12 by Nicholas Keller

Thanks Florian!

All the methods you mention seem very interesting, however I don't have the Trigger Modifier module, so I've never been able to experiment with that. Perhaps I ought to find or build one and try it.

If you'd like to publish your ideas for shuffle, I could link to your post on mine. Or I can add your ideas to my post and credit you, or write a new post and credit you.

If I understand correctly (I haven't looked at the A-165 manual yet), the second A-162/142 is simply for creating a pulse of a certain length....a trigger combiner of some kind is still necessary?

I've actually modified my A-162 quite a bit, giving it "Mix" outputs which combine the input and output signals through diodes, as well as fast/med/slow selectors for the delays and lengths, Vactrol control sockets, and unit one can feed into unit two and provide four pulses at Mix2 Out. A bit crazy, but just having the first "Mix Out" allows me to create variable (manual and Vactrol control) shuffle with just that one sub module of the A-162 and a clock source. Obviously I need a Vactrol module too if desired. I chose leave that out if this blog post so as not to confuse any potential readers. It is not a necessary modification, more a compulsion :D
