A "useful constraint" in what way?

Subject: [Doepfer_a100] A-149-1 and A-149-2 -- digital or analog?

Hi there --

I know many people believe that it's an unnecessary distinction, but I am trying to remain completely analog in my modular. Can anyone explain (as I am having trouble getting my head around this) are the A-149-1 and A-149-2 completely analog in their function and construction, not just signal path?

It doesn't matter to many, but I find it a useful constraint.

Thanks!
