I do not own a DE, but there will be some breaking through for sure. So 
Andy is right to my opinion. The single synth voice chip used in the DE 
was never intended to be used without any VCO signal. So there was no 
need for the developper of the chip to provide a perfect 1000% signal 
rejection.
