Digital BW, The Print

I bougth the PrintFixPro in order to generate profiles to my MIS FSN 
inks and 1160 combo. I downloaded the upgrade to the Spyder3print 
software,I print and read the HQ chart,it saves the xml file,but when it 
tries to build the profile, it hangs about 2/3 of the jobs...If I use 
one of the sample xml included in the S3P,it builds the profile all 
right. Has it happened to anyone? C.D. ?

It takes much longer to generate a B&W profile than a color one. Don't 
quit when it "hangs", just go get a cup of coffee, and give it time to 
process. It should be able to finish the job if the inks are reasonable 
for RGB driver usage. Never tested the FSN inks, so I can't comment on 
that...

Thanks,C.D.,it worked. Took 25 minutes to build,but did. As it took
about 5 seconds to build the color one,I could never figure it out,
but then...got me a good profile,and the magenta cast is also gone.

You must have a fairly slow computer for it to take 25 minutes, but the 
result is what matters. Glad it worked for you.

That's the funny part.It's not slow.Not the fastest(it's An Athlon 64
bits with 2GB RAM and a fast video card) but I use for Photoshop and
Premier video editing with no hassles...but then software is a strange
animal...but as you said the result is what matters,and the profile is
very good. Go figure...
