I hope that David doesn't mind me daring to add a little to his reply,
though I know that my knowledge of this subject is insignificant,
especially in comparison to his.
Whether there is an important difference between between Status A
(originally intended for photographic materials) and Status T
(originally intended for inks etc) will depend on your application. If
you are doing direct comparisons with other Status A readings, then I
guess that you have got to have Status A. That's the whole point of
having Status instruments. You would need full spectral data to be
able to make the conversion - you couldn't just convert the Status T
values.
