I was surprised to read this. I thought that each individual printer would 
produce slightly different results from the Channel Mixer technique. Is 
this not true? If not, why not?

Hello Bill,
 Channel mixer is a photoshop utility for converting from color to
grayscale images. It has nothing to do with the printer. It is just
one of many techniques used to accomplish that end. Printer
differences are controlled via color management, or B&W, "profiles" as
well as other more emperical techniques ill thought of by some but
used by many.

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
