Ebony cart gone after 5 cleaning cicles

Ebony cart gone after 5 cleaning cicles

2006-01-15 by bard960

Pardon these newby questions:

a) Is it possible that 2 days after printing satisfactorily my Epson
C86 + MIS EZ inks begun printing horribly? I keep it in a closed
drawer when not in use and I may have tilted it a bit while putting it
on the table, causing bubble airs in the sponge.

b) After 5 consecutive cleaning cycles the print quality became even
worse, and, what disturbed me most, the Ebony cart was completely gone!

What would you have done in my place? Needless to say, after a couple
of months of happy printing, tonite frustration is on the rise!

Cleaning cycles can pull ink from those carts faster than the sponge can
release it. So, sometimes after a couple of cleaning cycles the nozzle
check on a good cart will suddenly show gaps. It might just be air and need
some time to release more ink into the little chamber above the outlet.

This may not be what is happening, but I try to avoid too many cleaning
cycles. If there is definitely a large air bubble in the system, re-priming
the cart might pull it out.
