Josh and others,

There is a wonderful book on just this subject called "The Elements of
Transition" (subtitled "from traditional to digital monochrome fine prints-a
concise but complete guide"), by Barry Thornton. It is only 33 pages long
but it is what it says it is, a concise but complete guide. Of course,
having been published in 2003 it is starting to be a little bit dated.
Unfortunately the book is no longer available commercially as Barry Thornton
was self-publishing it and he died about a year ago. If you or anyone else
is interested in it, send me an email off-list.

info on selective dodging, burning, using masks..ect.

thanks

Wow
I didn’t know Barry Thornton had passed away

That’s really a pity. He wrote a couple of *very* good books for the
traditional darkroom like “Edge of Darkness”

He had as well his own pyro formula, but I still preferred Hutching’s PMK
(hope he’s still alive)
Oops, this is digital group, sorry!

Anyway, peace for Barry.

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
