PS CS8

2004-09-16 by chatzebussi

Hello

I still use PS 7.0 As I have retired, I am no longer entitled to use
the educational versions and I should like to buy an OEM version of
Photoshop
CS (Actually I could do with the PS part of CS).

Prices are exorbitant for a private person in this country.

Question:

Are they reliable? Any further thoughts? Thanks!

Chatzebussi,

you may want to contact your 'local' adobe office and see if you are eligible
for the retail upgrade. Students in the US can upgrade their edu package to
retail through the standard $169 upgrade.

just a thought.

I don't believe that the "educational" version of PS7 is any different from
the commercial version--it's just a pricing difference. You should be able
to upgrade to PS CS for the $169 price. I think that's the whole point of
the educational marketing program: they get you used to using PS while
you're a student, and then you continue along the upgrade track, which is
where they make their money, once you're no longer in school.
