Peter,

What really helps with the MIS-VM workflow is to have as many curves
available to you as possible. I found that with some images one of Paul's
curves gave me the best results and with other images Tyler's did the trick.
So have them all on hand and remember that you can apply them in combination
in 8-bit mode by using multiple adjustment layers and varying the opacity.
