KnockOut software

2003-06-25 by yumeg_15237

Does anybody have experience working with first version of
Knockout software (mask creation to separate main subject from
background) together with Adobe Photoshop? I would greatly
appreciate any information. Yume

Yume-

I had the first version and didn't like it at all...I've used the
second version and also Extensis Mask Pro. Both are fair. Somewhat
difficult to really use well (though Knock Out is easier, maskpro
probably can do a better job if you are really going to master it.).

I think it depends on how often you need to do the separations and
how complex they will be...if you only do the ocassional one, the
extract tool in Photoshop is probably going to work for you.

If you are going to do a lot, the Mask Pro is most powerful and
precise and the Knock Out is the fastest to do the job with.

Hope this helps,

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
