Switching from MIS Eboni-6 to MIS Dyedase Ink in Epson 1430

Switching from MIS Eboni-6 to MIS Dyedase Ink in Epson 1430

I want to switch to the MIS Dyebase inkset for some color work. Do I need to use a cleaning cartridge in between or can I just switch to the color cartridges? I don't plan on switching inks very often. Thanks for any insight.

I don't know, in which case I would flush. You can use the simplest generic base for that.

Hi,

No problem at all. I do this constantly between Paul’s EB6 and Epson 9890 left-overs and all I do, as Paul mentions, is to clean them with base, the same used to make EB6 per Paul’s formula. I used to do it with a syringe and a small piece of tubing one channel at a time and I now do it with an extra set of carts with base. It’s less of a hassle when done frequently! Haven’t had any problems and in fact it’s one more of the many charms of the 1430.
Hope this helps!

Best,

Pablo
