Recently I have found that SEP2 is crashing/closes as soon as I open a color image. This does not happen if I open an image previously processed with SEP2. (Or at least the last image I remember processing successfully in SEP2) It happens with both .jpg and .tif images. I have 20 Gig of free HD space on my Mac, so I wouldn't think that is the problem.
Any help will be appreciated.

Nik tools use the graphics memory. How much do you have? You may have pushed over the capacity with a particular image. Do other images open ok? In the past I had crashes in nik2 when they upgraded from nik version 1 Fix was more graphics memory. This may or may not be what you are experiencing- it's just what I experienced Nik is now unsupported for any updates or new operating system versions- go look at the google page Sent from my iPhone

Hi Don, Thanks for your reply. I had also seen the info about the graphics processor on the Nik forum. I am using the built in Intel 4600 GPU that is in my Core I3 CPU. I have it set to the max 1 Gig. of video memory setting. The computer has 8 Gig of memory total. I've experimented with SEP2 settings and I can get images to open and not crash if I turn off the GPU in the SETTINGS menu. The only problem there is that I cannot get the setting to stick. When I freshly open SEP2, the GPU setting is back to enabled and the program crashes if I load an image. So at least I have a way to open and work on the images I need to, though it is less than ideal. Mike Brubaker -------------------------------------------- On Sat, 4/29/17, Don Nelson ac7zg@... "...recently Google has updated the page for the Nik Collection (https://www.google.com/nikcollection/) to indicate that no future updates of any kind will be released. The existing Nik Collection (which is still available as a free download) will only function properly with Mac OS X through version 10.10, Windows through version 8, and Adobe Photoshop through version CC 2015."
Sad to lose the benefits of such capable software as our OS platforms develop.

Strange. My Silver Efex Pro continues to work fine on my latest updated versions of Windows 10 and Photoshop (Lightroom) Cloud. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

I’m still using Silver Efex 2 Pro on my MacPro running Sierra 10.12.5 and Aperture. Steven Tiggemann

It's working on my Mac, too. macOS 10.12.5 You might have a corrupted preference file. Try deleting all of the "com.Google." and "Nik Collection" preference files you can find. (Back them up first if that makes you feel more secure.) Do the other Nik plugins work okay? I assume you have tried reinstalling the plugin... Myron
