Recommendation for Double sided paper for Postcards

Recommendation for Double sided paper for Postcards

2014-03-11 by <zissimos@...>

My stable paper choices are Ilford Gold Fibre Silk and Hahnemuhle Barita on an Epson R2400.
I want to print a small edition of postcards and for that I need a double sided paper, because I want to make some layout graphics on the back and write some artwork info.
Ideally I would like a semi-gloss paper or smooth surface. Which one have you tried and recommend?

Have you considered this?

Hi Zissimos:

I highly recommend Moab Dual Semigloss 330. It is very heavy and it looks great with pigment ink.

All the best,

Andrew,
thank you for your suggestion. Unfortunately I don't see the icc profile on the Moab site for R2400 and I don't have the equipment to make a custom one.
Anyone has a custome icc for this printer & paper?

Hi Zissimos:

You are very welcome. If you’d prefer not to have one made for you, you can probably use any good profile that works well for a semi-gloss paper like Epson Premium Luster Photo Paper. I would start by printing a standard image, like the Photodisc target, which you can find on this page under L2.2 (first item):

There are other targets/test prints there as well.

All the best,
Andrew
