Digital BW, The Print

Folks,

i have developed a strange problem

i'm using an epson r260 with quadtone rip driver version 2.7 on a  
macbook core 2 duo machine

when i make a 4x6 color print using the epson driver, print is  
correctly positioned

when i make a BO print using the quadtone rip, position is dropped  
about 5 inches, pitting only about 1/2 inch of the print on the 4x6  
paper

if i print the image with the same settings, but feed a sheet of 8.5  
X11, image is correctly positioned left/right but is positioned at the  
TRAILING EDGE of the sheet .... i just measured and its exactly 5  
inches low

suggestions?

same computer, same printer, worked fine, probably in the last month
