BO - Black Only Terminology question??

When we say BO for Black Only, does that mean using just one black? Or does that mean the whole Vari tone or Ultratone black ink set???
thanks

The term originated with the single black units. The multi black units
with LK and LLK, at least on the Epson side are called ABW printing.
Full black replacemnet sets are generally referred to by the set (UT-3,
etc.) being used.

"Black only" (BO) = Only the one black ink, not a full B&W inkset.

A modified black only is the 1800 "3 MK" (three matte black) setup. I
don't call it "black only," but MIS does.
