Getting rid of ejection rollers

Getting rid of ejection rollers

2011-04-05 by nigglefish

I have an EPSON TX650 and was wondering if anyone had any experience removing the pin-wheel ejection rollers from this model. I would ideally like to remove all but the far left and right rollers so that I could feed through A4 paper with only ejection roller marks in 2cm left and right margins. Of course I would only be able to print on A4 after that. But even getting to the rollers is proving difficult. Does anyone have any experience doing this and any suggestions on how I might do it in a way that could be reversed at a later time? Would doing this leave enough ejection rollers to print to the bottom of the page (or within 2cm of it)? At the moment if I prop up all of the ejection rollers the printer messes up 4cm from the bottom of the page.

OK, so no-one has ever heard of my printer. It's not available in the US and is known as a PX650 or RX650 elsewhere. It's a descendant of the R260 I think. If anyone has any experience with any cheap Epson photo printers I would be very grateful.

Also I was thinking of upgrading to a 1410 (same as the 1400) does anyone have experience getting rid of ejection roller marks on this printer?

Cheers,
Nigel.

Nigel,

Take a look at teh Epson Printers Yahoo group. Art is the resident Epson guru of
the group and should be able to assist you.

Phil

Thanks Phil,

I am so used to using this forus to answer all my BW printing questions that I didn't realise my question actually had nothing to do with BW printing in particular.

Cheers,
Nigel.

There may be a few folks that know how to do what you want but chances are the
gurus hang out in a different pub.
