Hi Ben, Where did you find a 214T for $200? Everything I see is closer to (US) $400. thanks Mike J. -----Original Message----- From: DigitalBlackandWhiteThePrint@yahoogroups.com [mailto:DigitalBlackandWhiteThePrint@yahoogroups.com] On Behalf Of ben schneider Sent: Saturday, March 28, 2009 9:05 AM To: DigitalBlackandWhiteThePrint@yahoogroups.com Subject: [Digital BW] Monitors AnnMarie, I replaced a 24" Dell with a 21" Samsung 214T two years ago. What a difference it made in the amount of remakes that I had to do. When I was using the Dell, there was a problem with blue/green colors which the monitor could not distinguish even though it was profiled. It was like it was color-blind. The Samsung monitor worked well right out of the box, but when I profiled it, I seldom need to do any reprints now. I was so pleased with the performance of the Samsung, I purchased a second one for another work station. This second new 214T cost less then $200. I could not justify paying ten times (or more) that amount for an Eizo when these work as well as they do. I do have two 17" Eizo monitors, and they are great, but the cost????? The Dell is now connected to a DVD player; viewing movies is a function which it works well. Ben
