This does not sound like a clog. It may be that the printer has reached the mandatory service point where it just shuts off. On the other hand, I think the lights usually flash when that point is reached. The printer manual may have a trouble shooting section that will tell you. If the OEM carts are also not recognized, something serious could be wrong with the printer.
