Digital BW, The Print

Neil,

I use a 1280 with spongeless cartridges and have the same problem.  I
attribute it to a small amount of air getting in the head during
cartridge changing.  I have found that minimizing the time there is no
cartridge installed helps reduce the problem.  In the past I've taped
up the empty cart before installing the new cart.  I'm now installing
the new cartridge first with better results.
