RE: [Digital BW] MIS SplitTone K7

2006-11-23 by David Whistance

Hi Richard

I suspect you mean Cone Split tone K7 rather than MIS? If that is the case
then it is only suitable for matt papers, hence the smearing on the glossy
ones. You should find the quality amazing on the right matt papes however.

I tried it on 3 paper: H PhotoRag, H Fine Arts Pearl and Museo Silver Rag
and the print on the Silver Rag is astonishing. It has that old slight
metallic look. Only issue is that it seems to smear a bit on both Silver
Rag and the Fine Arts Pearl (both with slight glossy surface). Is it a
matter of letting them dry or should I spray some fixatives? On matt paper
  it is fine.
