Is the K7 set the way to go? Is there another alternative by Piezography or another manufacturer? Are users printing on matte rag or other papers more often? Any other thoughts? I have been running a 4000 with NK 7's QTR and find the print quality really excellent. I get very soft, smooth tones suitable to a lot of images. I used to run a 1280 with Piezo cold tone inks, then added 2 bottles of warm light gray, and I got really nice prints. What I have found, is that some images can be printed neutral, while others ask for tones and contrasts that neutral will not give you. I am running a 4800 with ABW and I'm almost satisfied with the adjustments possible there. I tried Mediastreet's G Quad set in a 2200, and with Silver rag, I am really feeling the juices running. I might run those inks in my 7600, since the 7 ink set allows matte and luster papers in the same machine. Even so, the NK 7 will still be running, because it suits so many of my negatives. HTH.
