Not badly intended, to be sure. No one I would rather have a drink with than
Jon, and I really did miss those chocolate covered expresso beans! Jon and I
have been arguing over how to do things, and enjoying the argument, for longer
than I can remember. Jon has been a great reseller of ColorVision products,
and has handed out many copies of Matering Digital Printing with his products
(which has my name on the cover, though Harald gets most of the credit) so I am
interested in his success on many levels; though first and formost as THE
posterchild for digital black and white.

I did see him at Photokina, but only when he stopped at the ColorVision booth
and looked at my B&W prints (always an honor!). I never found a Piezography
booth, but I didn't have a lot of time to look. Just walking a show sometimes,
instead of working it, is worthwhile; I don't really know which he was doing.

The other point here is that digital black and white has reached a point
where it was not going to go unseen and unrepresented with any single company
skipping a show. It was, quite noticably, everywhere. Thats a significant
improvement over years past where Jon offered the only serious Digital B&W at the
entire show, at most any show.
