okay...kindergaarten question:

I resampled to 720, and the image on my monitor took a jump. But in the print dialogue I 
assumed I would have to reduce the print size to fit the paper after that but nothing 
changed there. Am I missing something?

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
