The dot pitch and the pixel pitch are two different things. However, even at 5760x1440, which is 8x2 dots per pixel, there's still a lot of dither noise that spills over into adjacent pixels, which means you won't really see much more sharpness at 720 than at, say, 360, except for really high contrast edges like text. -- Ciao, Paul D.
