Print 1% patches from 80 to 90% to refine your Dmax ink limit. Also print patches using the Epson driver for comparison. As Steve indicated, Dmax takes at least overnight to settle, maybe longer. Steve, Call me crazy - but I just got a 2400 and exchanged the black ink to NanoChrome K. My idea is to make b/w prints with QTR, but using the OEM K3 LK, LLK, LM, and LC to fine-tune the tone. On HPR 308 (I have 3 year old paper), I get Dmax of 1.8 after 2 hours dry-down, at the 85% patch using QTR "calibration" mode. Miles away from 2.0 you are getting with your 2100. My numbers, it seems are consistently lower. Perhaps it is the densitometer I am using. Would it be too much to ask you to post me a 1 x 1 inch Dmax patch on HPR? You could send it on regular size envelop. Shilesh [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
