One of the gurus of these lists, who hasn't been posting for a while, told me that he's never seen anything wrong with a properly set-up Lacie. And he also told me that he preferred the 19" to the 21" because the 19" didn't "stretch the physics" as much. Never got a clarification from him on exactly what he meant by that, though. So I got a 19". Cheap. One of the guns quit on it, though, and I had to send it back. LaCie replaced it in a timely fashion, no hassle, although I got what looks like a refurb instead of a brand new one, which I wasn't wild about but didn't feel like going through the hassle of arguing about it. This one has been working fine for over a year. I've been searching for a left-over Hitachi 21" (remember RasterOps?), because I've had one for years, and it's too old now, but it was great for a long time. But I can't find one, and they're apparently not made any more. James
