Hi Paul, The fan problem is not uncommon on both 7600 and 9600 machines. Sometimes they quiet down a bit after they've been running a while, and sometimes they're too annoying and just need to be replaced ;>) Here's a URL for a very good service manual: http://web.archive.org/web/20030812073637/www.visual- artists.com/Manuals/SP76_9600_A.pdf It's an 18 meg pdf, so it takes a while to download but is fairly complete with exploded service diagrams, etc. The fans are pretty easy to access and not too difficult to replace. In terms of parts, I have found that Compass Micro (www.compassmicro.com) is very reasonable, has good inventory levels and are very helpful to work with. Hope this is of assistance to you... -Richard --- In DigitalBlackandWhiteThePrint@yahoogroups.com, "Paul Roark" <paul.roark@v...> wrote: > I am starting to experiment with a used 7600 and have noticed it has an > annoying, noisy fan (I think).
