Thanks Steve. I just learned that through printing from one where I used the 'proof' with color--and then using the converted gray-lab to gray-matte tiff to print to the same hue in QTR. I agree--this is not the way to go. I appreciate your help. I'm really happy overall with QTR--just have to work out my own workflow.
