I don't think its actually needed but it does guarantee a completely fresh
set of files which isn't a bad idea.

I have added a better 8 bit conversion to QTR so it should be
indistinguishable.
(At least I can't show a discernable difference).    The file is half the
size
though so that'll save on disk I/O time.
