RE: [Digital BW] Re: B&W with C86 and MIS inks - unattractive sheen - advice?

PremierArt Print Shield is the best spray I've used. MIS has it at
http://www.inksupply.com/index.cfm?source=html/new_prod.html and it's also
available at www.ITSupplies.com .

The Costco Kirkland Pro Glossy paper is about the best combination of dmax,
price, and almost no bronzing. It can also be bought mail order -- even by
non-members. Letter-size is all that is available.

Epson Glossy Photo Paper is artifact free and reasonably cheap and
available. Its dmax is less. It too is letter size only. Epson had some
similar papers in larger sizes, but most have been discontinued.

Epson Premium Semimatte is relatively good with respect to bronzing. It is
available only in rolls. It's what I use for large display with no glazing
-- very impressive dynamic range. I do spray it.

Matte papers under glass are the easiest way to get artifact-free B&W. An
EEM print in an inexpensive acrylic frame gets a gloss from the acrylic and
looks just like a silver print in such a frame.

Thanks Scott

I wondered if the spray would help after I posted. Will give it a
try if I can find it locally. I have seen Krylon and other spray
protectants at places like Michaels but not Premier Art Sheield. No
large photo shops here.

Thanks
Bill
