Joe, Per your postings, I see that you follow this forum so I will post an opinion, here; though public, I seem to be unable to reach Bowhaus via private e-mail. Please understand that I do not mean to pontificate negative comments vis-a-vis Bowhaus, but I just thought you should be aware of the feelings of someone who was a potential Bowhaus customer. Following your post regarding the pre-release pricing for the first version of IJC/OPM, I attempted to get in touch with your company for days before we all became aware of your DSL issues. I, as well as others on this forum, had quite a few questions I/we wanted answered before making a purchase decision. I guess all my e-mails were lost because, to date, I've heard nothing! Antonis was very gracious with his knowledge, but I can not justify the purchase of IJC/OPM based solely on one person's opinion; albeit a very knowledgeable opinion. I, for one, think that your very short timeframe for taking advantage of the pre-release offer is ridiculous; especially given the fact that no one could communicate with the company for several days! And, once you announced that Bowhaus was "back on the air" no mention that today's deadline might be / would be extended. Well, sir, you have lost me as a customer! You have probably lost a few other potential customers on this forum, too. I've been in the computer industry since its infancy, and seen the rise of the desktop and all that it has to offer. But, I remain mystified how most software companies even stay in business--yes, even the giant of 'em all: Microsoft! <Rant over...strolling across the room to cuddle up to my Mac> Regards, Alan Huntley ----- Original Message ----- From: "Joe Berndt" <joeberndt@...> To: <DigitalBlackandWhiteThePrint@yahoogroups.com> Sent: Wednesday, January 05, 2005 9:56 AM Subject: Re: [Digital BW] IJC/ OPM_windows some more questions to decide Hello Bill, Version 1.0.0 of OPM only supports a USB connection either direct or via a USB hub. I do know that on the larger printers( e.g. 9600) you can have multiple connections to your printer, If you set the connection type to auto the printer will respond to what ever it receives a signal from. I dont know if you can also add a USB cable to your 2200 and have it auto sense. Joe
