Most modern digital cameras work pretty well, including pocket point and shoots. I would tend to avoid the small prosumer 8MP models with the small sensors due to noise levels, although many do not find the images objectionable. ALL the digital SLR's provide excellent images IMO. Most of the pocket point and shoots on the market today in the 4 and 5 megapixels versions are quite good. My cameras are my livelihood and are probably overkill for many users and applications. I use all the Canon DSLR's - 20D, 1DMKII, and 1DsMKII. In my opinion, the best bang for the buck right now is the Canon 20D DSLR. Excellent image quality (low noise at high ISO), high resolution (8.2 MP), fast, well built, great battery life, excellent lenses available (although they may cost as much as the camera or more), etc. Good luck, Tony Bonanno --- In DigitalBlackandWhiteThePrint@yahoogroups.com, "lancscott" <lancscott@y...> wrote: > > Hi all.
