>All, If you're heading over to Los Altos to see Roy's show (I looked through the window yesterday after the galleries closed - WOW! Even through the windows they are AMAZING)...go check out a show at the Center for Innovation at Foothill College. It is titled "Some Pictures" and is by Keith Lee, a Foothill photography teacher. He was my photo 2 teacher and we talked quite extensively about digital BW printing techniques. The prints are both color and black and white, mostly done on film, scanned with a Nikon 8000, then printed on an Epson 2200. While the prints are quite exceptional in terms of aesthetics, the printing technique doesn't sound that interesting...except that he isn't using a RIP at all. He is using the UC inks and just manipulating his images until they came out the way he wanted. I haven't seen a ton of BW 2200 prints done without a RIP, but I have to say that these are _really_ impressive. I highly recommend this show if you can make it. Some Pictures by Keith Lee Krause Center for Innovation Foothill College 12345 El Monte Road Los Altos Hills, CA I believe they're open something like 8-8 M-F, and I _think_ they're open on Saturdays, too, but not sure on the hours (sorry, forgot to write that down). But if you can check it out, it's pretty cool. allan ------------------------------------ Technology Projects Manager Academic Computing & The Office of Accessible Education Stanford University v - 650-996-0546 f - 650-725-4685
