What might be the reason ? Adaptive Hybrid is set as the default but I've been mainly using Ordered. The ink pattern page isn't very representative of real images -- high contrast in the highlights and only one ink at a time. Multiple inks tend to hide the dithering. > > - The overall neutrality could be better. I made a warm and a cool > curve and tried different mixtures. If you print out a stepwedge are you getting a clear transition from cool to warm or vis versa? The basic idea of the ultrachome curves is to put light-magenta and light-cyan in direct proportion to light-black which has most of the warm tone. A slight selenium tone can be done by making the light-magenta ink slightly more than the light-cyan. The lighting can still cause a small amount of metamerism. Can you measure the neutrality from light to dark or are you just going by eye? Roy > > Many thanks again, > Peter > > > peter baumbach - fine art photography > http://www.pb-photo.com >
