Re: [Digital BW] Windows XP / Epson 1160 printer driver

2003-09-23 by djhedley

Bob,

I'm selecting the Epson 1160 driver, rather than the generic XP
driver. I have installed both the driver and the status monitor that
are available on the Epson site. However, I do not get a reading of
the ink levels in the print dialogue boxes. Apart from this, the
print dialogue is the same as before (i.e. I can establish a series
of profiles under the "advanced" tab, depending on how I want to
print). However, when I try to print, I get a "comunication error",
which seems to be pointing to a cable problem - but I don't think
that there is a problem with the cable, as I have treid both USB and
parallel port connections, and end up with the same problem.
